Puppy
Class
A 6-week course for puppies 12 weeks to 8 months
of age.
Start off right with your new best friend.
Classes cover all the basics: housetraining; commands for sit,
down, off, recall, wait, walking nicely on a leash; health, nutrition,
and grooming. Classes limited to 10 participants with one instructor;
15 participants with an instructor and an assistant.
Family
Dog Class
A 7-week course for dogs 6 months of age and beyond.
Classes cover basic obedience commands and manners:
sit stays, down stays, stand stays, heeling and/or walking nicely
on a loose lead, waiting at doors and gates. Problem solving.
General health and grooming. Classes limited to 12 participants
with one instructor; 17 participants with an instructor and an
assistant.
Drill
Class
A one hour session offered weekly for dogs and handlers who have
completed one of our Family Dog courses.
Canine
Good Citizen Class
A 6-week course for graduates of our Family Dog Class.
This course will give you and your dog more skills
to ensure you dog is an enjoyable companion and neighbor. The
course prepares participants to take the American Kennel Club’s
Canine Good Citizen Test. The course covers test components: accepting
a friendly stranger; sitting politely for petting; appearance
and grooming; walking on a loose lead; walking through a crowd;
sit and down on command; coming when called; reaction to another
dog; reaction to distraction; and supervised separation.

Kids & K-9 Camp
A one-week half-day camp for children and teens ages 8 to 15 and
their dogs. Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to Noon.
Youngsters can learn lifelong skills in pet ownership
through obedience, trick, and agility training. The camp curriculum
also includes lessons in health, nutrition, and the general care
of dogs. Dogs must be at least 6 months of age and meet our canine
health requirements. Camp is limited to 10 participants. Camp
is for children only, no adults. Aggressive dogs or children will
not be allowed to participate.
Private Lessons
We welcome problem solving. Private sessions with Trainer Kim
Terrill are available by appointment only. Call the Resort, 891.4100, to schedule an appointment.
