Canine Good Citizen

A 6-week class for graduates of Family Dog. This class will give you and your dog more skills at home and in the community — so you and your dog can enjoy being together in a variety of places. Skills include learning to greet a friendly stranger, greet another dog on leash, walk through a crowd, stand for grooming or an examination, and maintaining manners even when the owner is out of sight.

The class prepares you and your dog to take the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen Test. The AKC’s Canine Good Citizen Program recognizes dogs that have good manners at home and in the community. All dogs that pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

Classes limited to 12 participants.
